This year Such Stuff Players, a local Shakespearean youth troupe, brings you one of Shakespeare’s less well-known plays: the romantic, comedic tragedy: Cymbeline.
Cymbeline is a fairytale for the modern age, featuring vile villains, brave heroes, true love, and a heroine capable of rescuing herself.
Imogen, a fair princess, is separated from her loving husband and finds it necessary to abandon her home in order to escape the clutches of her evil stepmother and wicked stepbrother. The tale of her journey is one of lies, betrayal, and misunderstandings but like any good bedtime story, in the end, true love prevails and (almost) everyone lives happily ever after.
Please join us as we inspire young and not-so-young people to fall in love with one of the greatest playwrights of all time.
